Nigel II De Mowbray 
Nigel II was born in 1145 in Axholme, Lincoln, England. Nigel II's father was Roger D'Aubigny and his mother is Alice De Guant. His paternal grandfather was Nigel De Albini and his paternal grandmother is Gundred De Gournay; his maternal grandparents were Walter De Guant and Matilda of Brittany. He had two brothers named Robert and William. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 52 in 1197 in Acre, Palestine.General Notes
the Exchequer clerks who were responsible for writing up the Pipe Roll a
nd Chancellor's Roll always used the form 'Nigel' (Nig' / Nigel' / Nigell'
