Gisele was born in 1009 in Luxembourg. Gisele's father was I Frederick and her mother is Ermentrude De Herbert. Her paternal grandparents were Siegfried II De Ardennes and Hedwig Alscanian Nordgau; her maternal grandfather was UNKNOWN Herbert and her maternal grandmother is ErmentruDe Von Avalgau. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Giselbert I of, Gilbert, Ogiva and Irmtrud. She was the youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 49 in 1058. She was buried in Chapel of St Lawrence, Ghent, Flanders.General Notes
