Thomas was born in 1355 in Home, Berwickshire, Scotland. Thomas' father was Galfridus De Home. His paternal grandfather was William De Home and his paternal grandmother is Ada Dunbar. He had a brother named Roger. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 72 in 1427.General Notes

"living 8 Feb 1385, ...acquired the Ba rony of Dunglas in East Lothian by
marriage ..."
[Nichola Papedi] brought hi m the Barony of Dunglas, whence he quartered
her arms with his own. The first on record of this family was Sheriff of
Norham Island in 1110. A seal mentio ned in Raine's Durham with a single
popinjay.
