John De Braose 
John was born about 1155 in Bramber, Sussex, England. John's father was William De Braose and his mother is Bertha De Pitres of Gloucester. His paternal grandfather was Philip De Braose and his paternal grandmother is Aenor De Totnais; his maternal grandparents were Miles De Pitres and Sybil De Neufmarche. He had a brother and four sisters, named William, Avelnia Agnes, Matilda, Bertha and Sybil. He is the youngest of the six children.General Notes

ne of them he is described as "avunculus comitis", maternal uncle of the e
arl. This confirms him as a brother of Sibilla and hence a son of Willi
am and Bertha.
