Guy De Avesnes 
Guy was born about 1253 in Valenciennes, Nord, France. Guy's father was Jean I De Avesnes and his mother was Aleida of Holland. His paternal grandparents are Bouchard De Avesnes and Marguerite De Hainault; his maternal grandparents are Floris IV of Holland and Mathilde Brabant. He had five brothers and a sister, named Jean II, Baudouin, Bouchard, Guillaume, Floris and Jeanne. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died on May 28th, 1317 in Utrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands.
