Bouchard De Avesnes

Bouchard was born on May 26th, 1251 in Valenciennes, Nord, France.  Bouchard's father was Jean I De Avesnes and his mother was Aleida of Holland.  His paternal grandparents are Bouchard De Avesnes and Marguerite De Hainault; his maternal grandparents are Floris IV of Holland and Mathilde Brabant. He had five brothers and a sister, named Jean II, Baudouin, Guy, Guillaume, Floris and Jeanne.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 45 on November 29th, 1296.
