John Sherman Sargent 
John Sherman was born on October 12th, 1818 in Montville, Maine. John Sherman's father was John Sargent and his mother was Lois Clifford. His paternal grandfather was Theophilus Sargent and his paternal grandmother is Ruth Rowe. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Benjamin Wadleigh, Joseph Woodbury, Chastina, Mary E., Rhoda, Mariam and Hannah C.. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 77 on July 6th, 1896 in Sedgwick, Maine.-
