James Bird Field 
James Bird was born in 1866 in Hillsdale County, Michigan. James Bird's father was Elijah Seldon Field and his mother was Rhoda Ann Hillard. His maternal grandparents were Peris Hillard and Clarrisa Kimball. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Noah Seldon, Bryon E., Orange Ferris, Elizabeth M., Lydia Cath, Sarah Ann and Clarissa E.. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 70 in 1936 in Hillsdale County, Michigan. He was buried in Frontier Cemetery, Frontier, Hillsdale County, Michigan.-
