Vinton Hillard was born in October 1894 in Clinton, Seneca County, Ohio. Vinton Hillard's father was Stephen Douglas Cooley and his mother was Minnie E. Sell. His paternal grandparents were William H. Cooley and Rebecca Hillard. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Lloyd, Charles Raymond, Bonnie and Ida May. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 53 on July 1st, 1948 in Seneca County, Ohio. He was buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Seneca County, Ohio.-
