John Diamond 
John was born on January 9th, 1792 in Fredericksburgh, Canada West and his baptism took place on January 9th, 1792 in Fredericksburgh Twp., Lennox & Addington Co., Ontario. John's father was John Diamond and his mother was Christiana Loyst. His paternal grandfather is Johannes Diamond and his paternal grandmother was Maretje Schott; his maternal grandparents are Johann Cheban Loyst and Annoka Magdalena Lydecker. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named Jacob, Abraham, William Frederick, Baltus, Andrew, Henry, Jane "Jinny", Margaret, Catherine, Mary, Sarah, Clara and Anne. He was the third oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 89 on February 9th, 1881 in Belleville, Hastings Co., Ontario.
