Sylvester Spencer 
Sylvester was born on May 31st, 1796 in Unadilla, Otsego, New York, USA.1 Sylvester's father was Orange Spencer and his mother was Sarah Bostwick. His maternal grandfather was Jessie Bostwick and his maternal grandmother is Betsey Canfield. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Gauis Lawrence, Orange Bostwick, Gilbert, Silas, Philomela, Ruth, Lena and Sena. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 70 in 1866.1 -
