Mary S. Patterson 
Mary S. was born on March 10th, 1794 in Amherst co, VA. Mary S.'s father was David Patterson and her mother was Charity Watterson Simmons. Her maternal grandparents were James S. Simmons and Mary Watterson Waters. She had three brothers and four sisters, named John L., Charles S., Elisha Slyvanius, Nancy Morris, Elizabeth Watteson, Sarah "Sally" R. and Christianna Payne. She was the oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named John, Martha and Margaret.
