John Patterson

John was born about 1826 in Rutherford Co, NC.  John's father was David Patterson and his mother was Ruth Camp. He had two sisters named Martha and Margaret.  He was the oldest of the three children. He had three half-brothers and five half-sisters, named John L., Charles S., Elisha Slyvanius, Mary S., Nancy Morris, Elizabeth Watteson, Sarah "Sally" R. and Christianna Payne.
