Lindsey was born on September 27th, 1880 in Macon Co, NC. Lindsey's father was Benjamin Franklin Henson and his mother was Martha Matilda Allen. His paternal grandparents were Ephraim D. Henson and Annie Carpenter; his maternal grandparents were William Marion Allen and Martha M. Carson. He had three brothers and three sisters, named W. Jasper, Robert A., James, Lily Mae, Imogene and Sarah Isabel. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 5 on October 15th, 1885 in Macon co, NC.-
