Amelia Hawkins 
Amelia was born about 1780 in Greenville, SC. Amelia's father was Edward Hawkins. She was an only child. She died on September 26th, 1840 in Perry, AL. She was buried in Old Evans Cemetary, Webb Plantation, 8 mi west of Marion, Perry, AL.General Notes

"Not sure of source of following information. I know practically nothing of the Hawkins family aside from the tombstone record of Amelia. I do know that she was said to have had a brother named Williamson who went to Tennessee, married Betty nation in Tennessee and later removed to Jefferson Co, TN. The story is that Williamson ran away from home when his father married a second or third time. Williamson is said to have had a brother Jesse who served in the War of 1812."
Amelia and Joseph were married in a religious ceremony about 1800 in Greenville, Greenville, SC. They had six sons and four daughters, named John, Evan, Robert, Edward, William, Joseph Jr., Margaret Frances, Frances, Sarah Eloise and Amelia Millie.
