Margaret was born in 1752. Margaret's father was Williams Robbins and her mother was Mary Wells Battle. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Robbins and Sarah Maddox; her maternal grandparents were William Battle and Sarah Hunter. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Arthur, William, Jethro, Thomas, John, Luraney, Charity, Millicent and Elizabeth.-
