Joel Washington was born in December 1874 in Arkansas. Joel Washington's father was Joel Dial Robbins and his mother was Martha Louiza Brabbin. His paternal grandparents are Joel Robbins and Sarah Parker; his maternal grandparents are Henry S. Brabbin and Jane Goodman. He had four brothers and a sister, named James, George F., William, John D. and Charity Ellen. He was the oldest of the six children. He died before 1910.General Notes
