Robert MALTBIE 
Robert was born about 1646. Robert's father was John MALTBIE and his mother is Nina JOHNS. His paternal grandfather was John MALTBY and his paternal grandmother is Margaret BISHOP. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Richard, William., Jane and Elizabeth. He is the second youngest of the six children.General Notes

ad sustained in coming from England and being to return again" he was rele
ased from the fine. They are called "strangers" in this recor. Robert, S
enior, as shown elsewhere was a first cousin of the emigrant brothers, Joh
n, William and Robert.
Robert junior was in New England as late as 4/16/1673 when he witnessed t
he purchase the William's homestead at Branford.
