RICHARD was born in 1222.1 RICHARD's father was GILBERT De CLARE and his mother was ISABELLE MARSHALL. His paternal grandparents were RICHARD De CLARE and AMICIA FITZWILLIAM; his maternal grandparents were WILLIAM 'THE PROTECTOR' MARSHALL and ISABEL FITZGILBERT De CLARE. He had two brothers and three sisters, named WILLIAM, GILBERT, AMICIA, ISABELLE and AGNES. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 40 in 1262.1 General Notes
