Hugh was born in December 1828 in Green Co.,Kentucky. Hugh's father was Avery Warren and his mother was Margaret Compton. His paternal grandparents were Hugh ,Jr. Warren and Elizabeth Unknown; his maternal grandparents are John Compton and UNKNOWN Unknown. He had three brothers named Felix Grundy, John C. and Gabriel. He had two half-brothers named William and John. He died at the age of 72 on February 8th, 1901 in Hazelwood,Hendricks Co.,Indiana.-
