His paternal grandparents were Hugh ,Jr. Warren and Elizabeth Unknown; his maternal grandparents are John Compton and UNKNOWN Unknown. He had three brothers named Felix Grundy, John C. and Hugh. He had two half-brothers named William and John. He died at the age of 81 in July 1909 in Taylor Co.,Kentucky.-
