His paternal grandparents were Felix Grundy ,Jr. Warren and Elizabeth Jane McGlasson. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Willie Osburn, Offie Albert, Ernest Ennis, Floyd T., Arthur Alfred, Eva Helena, Ida Beatrice and Iva Mae Louise.
