William Vardeman 
William was born about 1842. William's father was Peter Vardeman and his mother was Mary 'Polly' Scrogin. His paternal grandmother is Mary 'Polly' Wilcoxson. He has five brothers and two sisters, and also three siblings of unknown gender, named Jeremiah F., Thomas F., Benjamin, Abraham(Abram), Quentin D., Angeline, Elizabeth A., S. J., M.A. and M.. He is the fifth oldest of the eleven children.-
