M.A. was born about 1848. M.A.'s father was Peter Vardeman and his/her mother was Mary 'Polly' Scrogin. His/her paternal grandmother is Mary 'Polly' Wilcoxson. He/she has six brothers and two sisters, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named Jeremiah F., Thomas F., William, Benjamin, Abraham(Abram), Quentin D., Angeline, Elizabeth A., S. J. and M.. He/she is the fourth youngest of the eleven children.-
