Nina Pearl was born on January 19th, 1890. Nina Pearl's father was John Richard Underwood and her mother was Mahala Ann Gray. Her paternal grandparents were George Terrell Underwood and Sarah Ellen Kee. She had four brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Owen Julian, Percy Rivers, John Gray, Terrell Nimrod, Luta Epps, Rosie Belle, Mary Ellen and Unknown. She is the oldest of the nine children.-
