Gaddie Winfield was born on May 4th, 1857 in Taylor,Co.,Kentucky. Gaddie Winfield's father was Hiram ,Jr. Underwood and her mother is Nancy Ann Gaddie. Her paternal grandparents were Hiram Underwood and Celia Buley. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Clint, Henry, Olley Moss, Cordelia, Lorenzo, Eliza Ann, Julia Green and Flora. She is the oldest of the nine children.-
