Eliza Ann was born in 1871 in Kentucky. Eliza Ann's father was Hiram ,Jr. Underwood and her mother is Nancy Ann Gaddie. Her paternal grandparents were Hiram Underwood and Celia Buley. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Clint, Henry, Olley Moss, Gaddie Winfield, Cordelia, Lorenzo, Julia Green and Flora. She is the fourth youngest of the nine children.-
