Omer was born on September 17th, 1899 in Wallis,Austin Co.,Texas. Omer's father was Leon Ernest Tubbs and his mother was Nancy Cornelia Johnston. His paternal grandparents are William Tubbs and Caroline Bluff; his maternal grandparents were James Woodall Johnston and Sarah Sophia Harry. He had ten brothers and four sisters, named George Thomas, Albert Jennings, Henry Homer, Leon Ollie, Lee Ernest, Walter Edward, Arthur Chester, Alfred, Clyde Ervin, James William, Mamie Ethel, Thelma Elizabeth, Hazel and Beulah May. He was the fifth oldest of the fifteen children. He died on September 17th, 1899 in Wallis,Austin Co.,Texas.-
