William S. Skaggs 
William S. was born in 1845 in Kentucky. William S.'s father was William Skaggs and his mother is Martha M. Perry. His paternal grandfather was William Squire Skaggs and his paternal grandmother is Mary Pierce. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Fields, John Henry, Nancy, Lucreasy, Pauline and Martha Ellen. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died in Louisville,Jefferson Co.,Kentucky. He was buried in Cave Hill Cemetery,Louisville,Kentucky.General Notes
Mustered in Dec. 31, 1861 at age 18. AWOL since Feb. 13, 1863. Returned to regiment on Oct. 14, 1863. Stoppage of pay while gone and ordered to make good time while absent. Died of Smallpos on July 2, 1865 in General Hospital in Louisville Kentucky.
