Rosa Ellen was born on December 24th, 1881 in Tayler Co.,Kentucky. Rosa Ellen's father was Thomas Jackmon Shofner and her mother was Harriet Susan Underwood. Her maternal grandparents were Calloway Underwood and Mary Ann Oaks. She was an only child. She died at the age of 85 on March 11th, 1967.-
