Mary "Polly" was born in 1794 in VA. She was an only child. She died about 1865 in Whitely County,KY.General Notes
1850 Census - Household #985 is Mary Gilreath 63 NC (owns 1 slave), John 23 NC,
Lewis 21 NC, and Lucy 18 NC. In 1860, Mary was still living with son
John, but he had become the head of household.
‌Mary "Polly" and Benjamin Jones were married in a religious ceremony on March 27th, 1814 in Knox County,KY. They had five sons and six daughters, named John Lewis, William Wesley, Benjamin Perry , Jr., Gideon, James L., Hannah, Anna, Elizabeth, Martha, Mary and Susannah.
