His paternal grandfather was George Jackson Keahey and his paternal grandmother is Rosia Adaline McMinn. He had nine sisters named Jimmie May, Mary Adeline, Bell Elizabeth Tennessee, Callie Arcena, Ella, Georgia I., Dora Cobble, Elsie Maurine and Hazel Irene. He had two half-sisters named Hazel Irene and Elsie Marrine. He died at the age of 85 on April 23rd, 1973 in Rusk Co.,Texas. He was buried in Cedar Hill,Rusk Co.,Texas.-
