William Barton Gilreath 
William Barton was born in 1777 in Wilkes County,NC. William Barton's father was John Gilreath and his mother was Johannah Jones. His paternal grandparents were William Gilreath and Mary Arrington. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin Jones, Jesse, Gideon, Nancy, Mary Susanna and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 51 in May 1828 in Whitley County,KY.General Notes
