His paternal grandparents were William Simmons Daniel and Permintia Wesley Stewart; his maternal grandfather is Jerry Alexander and his maternal grandmother was Amanda Temperance Seal. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Ellmer R., Will, Minnie Frances and Ida Mae Dell. He died at the age of 88 on February 24th, 1971.General Notes
