Oliver Gilmer was born on March 13th, 1891 in Sealy,Austin Co.,Texas. Oliver Gilmer's father was Oliver Green Cannon and his mother was Winnie Margaret Allen. His paternal grandparents are Henry Cannon and Elizabeth Duncan; his maternal grandparents were James William Allen and Penelope Johnston. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Willie Green, James Henry, Henry, William Strauss, Rosey Lee, Nettie, Winnie Edna and May D.. He died at the age of 72 on October 2nd, 1963.-
