Obit - Dresden Enterprise Mar 23, 1923 Page 3 - Uncle Bob Bradberry Succumbs to the Flu. Bob Bradberry, known as "Uncle Bob" died at his home, two miles south of town, Saturday morning (Mar 17, 1923) at an early hour from the effects of influenza. Uncle Bob was 78 years, 1 month and 23 dys old and leaves a wife and eleven living children to mourn his death. The remains were laid to rest Sunday afternoon at Bowers cemetery with the funeral services conducted by Rev. Webb Jackson. Among the children living are Jim, Plute, Herbert, and Ruil. We were unable to get the names of the others. There are five boys and six girls. Uncle Bob was a splendid citizen, honorable, upright and a devout Christian gentleman. To know this good man was to admire him, and many friends join in expressions of sympathy to the bereaved ones
My files are a collection from many sources and many are not documented by me. Most relate to Weakley Co., TN in some way. Included are many Confederate and Union Veterans of the Civil War.
