Obediah Thomas was born on December 28th, 1879 in Angelina Co.,Texas. Obediah Thomas' father was George Washington Allen and his mother was Matilda Crawford. His paternal grandparents were John Calhoun Allen and Mary Holcombe. He had a brother and six sisters, named Samuel Edward, Anna Belle, Dulcenie, Mina Ella, Amanda Louella, Adaline and Alva. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 74 on May 27th, 1954 in Healdton,Carter Co.,Oklahoma.General Notes
