Her paternal grandparents were James William Allen and Penelope Johnston; her maternal grandparents are J. E. Weaver and Nancy Unknown. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Peter Benjamin, Miles Newton, Howard Johnson, Lottie, Winnie, Ada and Etta. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 81 on March 5th, 1962 in Waco,McLennen Co.,Texas.-
