Robert de Grentmesnil

Robert was born in 1034 in Normandy, France.  Robert's father was Robert de Grentmesnil and his mother is Advise (Hawisa) de Escalfoy.  His paternal grandfather is Gervase de Grentmesnil; his maternal grandfather was Giroie de Escalfoy and his maternal grandmother is Gisele de Montfort. He had two brothers and a sister, named Hugh, Arnold and Adeliza.  He is the second oldest of the four children.
