Arnold de Grentmesnil

Arnold was born in 1036 in Normandy, France.  Arnold's father was Robert de Grentmesnil and his mother is Advise (Hawisa) de Escalfoy.  His paternal grandfather is Gervase de Grentmesnil; his maternal grandfather was Giroie de Escalfoy and his maternal grandmother is Gisele de Montfort. He had two brothers and a sister, named Hugh, Robert and Adeliza.  He is the second youngest of the four children.
