Gilbert II de Gaunt

Gilbert II was born in 1118 in Folkingham, Lincolnshire, England. Gilbert II's father was Walter de Gaunt and his mother was Maud of Brittany. His paternal grandfather was Gilbert de Gant and his paternal grandmother is Alice de Montfort-sur-Risle; his maternal grandparents were Stephen comes Britanniae and Hawise de Guincamp. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Robert, Baldwin, Geoffrey, Alice and Agnes. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 38 in 1156.
