William VII was born in 1372 in Hoo Manorhouse, Luton, Bedfordshire, England.  William VII's father was Henry II de Ferrers and his mother was Joan de Hoo.  His paternal grandparents were William VI de Ferrers and Margaret de Ufford. He had a sister named Isabel.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 73 on May 18th, 1445 in Groby, Leicester, England.

‌William VII and Philippa were married in a religious ceremony after October 10th, 1388 in Brough Castle, Westmorland, England.  They had three sons and two daughters, named Henry III, Thomas, John, Margaret and Elizabeth.
