Solomon Wetzel 
Solomon was born in 1791 in Hereford Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Solomon's father was Philip Wetzel and his mother was Anna Maria Berger. His paternal grandparents were Johan Jacob Wetzel and Anna Maria Bassler. He had five brothers and a sister, named Philip Jr., Johannes, Daniel, Johan Henry, Jonathan and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died after 1830 in Fayette, Seneca County, New York.-
