Joseph Wetzel 
Joseph was born on October 29th, 1798 in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. Joseph's father was Peter Wetzel and his mother is Anna Catharine. His paternal grandparents were Johan Jacob Wetzel and Anna Maria Bassler. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Unknown, Johan Peter, Johan Henry, Johan George, Maria Elizabeth, Catherine and Anna Maria. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 78 on August 2nd, 1877 in New Berlin, Limestone Township, Union County, Pennsylvania.-
