His paternal grandparents were Thomas Sutton and Mary Adams. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, Joseph, Martha, Sarah, Priscilla and Sarah. He died about 1807 in Piscataway, Raritan Township, Middlesex County, New Jersey. He was buried about 1807 in Piscataway Cemetery, Piscataway, Raritan Township, Middlesex County, New Jersey.-
