Thomas was born on November 11th, 1669 in Eastham, Cape Cod, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. Thomas' father was William Sutton and his mother was Damaris Bishop. His paternal grandparents were George Sutton and Sarah Tilden; his maternal grandparents were Richard Bishop and Alice Nea Martin. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named William, William, John David, Richard, Joseph, Benjamin, Judah, Daniel, Alice, Mary and Damaris. He had a half-brother named Joseph. He died after 1754 in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey.-
