Amund Asbjornson Stenehjem 
Amund Asbjornson was born on August 12th, 1818 in Sogndal, Sogn, Norway. Amund Asbjornson's father was Asbjorn Peterson Stenehjem and his mother was Martha Larsdatter Stenehjem. His paternal grandparents were Peter Espenson Stenehjem and Kari Asbjornsdatter Stenehjem; his maternal grandparents were Lars Aamundson Stenehjem and Ingeborg Sveinsdatter Engeseter. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Peter Asbjornson, Lars Asbjornson, Hans Asbjornson, Ingeborg Asbjornsdatter, Kari Asbjornsdatter and Kari Asbjornsdatter. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 56 on September 28th, 1874 in Wilmington Township, Houston County, Minnesota.
