Mary Jane Skidmore 
Mary Jane was born on February 14th, 1789 in Elkins, Randolph County, West Virginia. Mary Jane's father was Andrew Skidmore and her mother was Margaret Johnson. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Skidmore and Agnes Anne Caldwell; her maternal grandparents were Arthur Johnson and Margaret Phares. She had six brothers and four sisters, named James, Andrew Jr., Joseph, Jesse, John, Benjamin, Nancy, Sarah, Eleanor and Rebecca. She was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 81 in 1870.-
