James Skidmore 
James was born in 1784. James' father was Andrew Skidmore and his mother was Margaret Johnson. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Skidmore and Agnes Anne Caldwell; his maternal grandparents were Arthur Johnson and Margaret Phares. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Andrew Jr., Joseph, Jesse, John, Benjamin, Nancy, Mary Jane, Sarah, Eleanor and Rebecca. He is the oldest of the eleven children.-
