James Russell Shaffer 
James Russell was born on June 9th, 1886 in West Virginia. James Russell's father was Joseph Allen Shaffer and his mother was Virginia Evans. His paternal grandparents were Peter Shaffer and Mary George; his maternal grandfather is Alkana Evans. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Edgar, George, Jacob Allen, Susie, Louisa and Lizzie. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Christopher Clayton, Evalina and Edwina. He died after 1936 in West Virginia.-
